SOME NOTES FOR ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS
Dress correctly to enjoy your new hobby

Line dancing is a good, all round healthy activity.

a). It promotes cardiovascular health through physical workouts of varying intensity.

b). Memory work involved in learning and remembering, provides many mental benefits.

c). Aids in the prevention of osteoporosis.

d). It allows you to interact with a wide variety of people from all walks of life, serving one's social health.

However, having said all this, it is very important that you wear correct clothing and footwear to enjoy the pastime fully. We do NOT recommend the wearing of slip-ons and mules or flip flops (See recommended shoes & boots on the right hand column)

You will get extremely warm and therefore it is a good idea to wear several layers of clothing, so that you can remove them as you warm up and then wrap up warm to go home.

PLEASE WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES - YOU WILL NEED A SHOE OR BOOT THAT WILL GLIDE ON THE FLOOR AND HAS PLENTY OF SUPPORT AROUND THE HEEL.

FLIP-FLOPS, SOME TRAINERS OR OTHER RUBBER BOTTOMED SHOES ARE NOT THE BEST TYPE OF FOOTWEAR FOR LINE DANCING AS THEY CAN CAUSE UNNECESSARY WEAR AND TEAR ON ANKLES & KNEES.
